About the Opportunity:

The primary role of a Field Manager is to oversee and coordinate the work of multiple Site Leads, field employees and/or contractors and venders at multiple sites. The Field Manager tracks the progress of the work at multiple sites and reports adherence to the scope of work, schedule, manpower and specifications to the Project Manager. Assists or oversees managing of company, client or vendor supplied materials for the jobsites under his or her supervision. Observes and assists with maintaining job site safety. The Field Manager assists with recruiting field personnel as needed, and as directed by the Project Manager. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinates the work, or portions of the work, with supervision, of one or more Site Managers and their field employees and/or contractors on a day to day basis for given projects.
  • Ensure that the work and activities of the employees/contractors does not interfere with the work of other employees/contractors on other projects at the various sites. 
  • Reports on the progress of the work that is being supervised with regard to scope of work, schedule, quality, manpower and material utilization at each site under supervision.
  • Assist the Project Manager on assigned job specific tasks.
  • Assists and/or tracks materials inventory needed for scope of work. Reports material issues to senior company production staff.
  • Observes all project safety requirements and reports safety violations to PM and company designated Safety Individual responsible for overall job safety.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to assist with completing the job. Other duties assigned to be consistent with job skills and level of experience.


I. Knowledge, Abilities, Personal & Interpersonal Skills:

  • A very strong knowledge of hand and power tools, Retail/merchandising terminology and general retail fixture, signage and merchandising practices. Carpentry skills are a plus.
  • A strong understanding and ability to read and interpret floor plans, planograms and project schedules.
  • High level of integrity, who can lead by example.
  • Professional, as one who represents the company’s overall values and brand to our clients
  • Ability to communicate with, and direct, Site Leads, field employees and/or contractors regarding the job requirements and progress of the work.
  • Ability to communicate with company production staff, and create a team environment.
  • Ability to use Personal Computers including Microsoft Office, email and related software to plan and track project activities. 
  • Must have personal reliable transportation.
  • Must have valid Drivers Lic.
  • Must own a smart phone.
  • Must own a laptop.

II. Experience:

Minimum Experience:

  • At least 5 years experience in the retail services industry, preferably in construction-related services.

Preferred Experience:

  • 8 or more years experience in the remerchandising services or construction industry in a similar capacity preferably in the retail/commercial industry or related construction trade.

III. Education:

Minimum Required: 

  1. A High School diploma or equivalent. 

Preferred Education:

  1. An associate’s degree with emphasis in retail services, construction management or any construction related discipline. 
  2. An associate’s degree in a related construction discipline may substitute for 2 years of experience.
